We were very pleased with the cover. It is very tough – it has even withstood heavy snow falling onto it a few times (from a metal roof 5 or 6 feet above one end of it. The instructions were complete and had the right amount of detail. There was nothing cryptic or that we had to spend a lot of time trying to interpret. I liked some of the little extra features, like the screws that pinned the clamp to the end of the truss tubes, helping hold them in place until both sides of the end rail clamp held them together. I would highly recommend this product. We live in an area that can get heavy, wet, deep snow once in awhile along with frequent strong winds all year. I am not concerned at all about it holding up – all indications are that it will will do just fine. We got 7 trusses, and, for us, that should be all we need.

I have a 10 x 10 ft kennel and live in the snowy northeast. I bought the kennel at tractor supply and the only roof option offered there was a “sunshade” that was low pitch and quite flimsy.
After a couple of winters it was destroyed by snow load despite raking and trying to keep it clear.
I found Shade’n things online and found they made a heavy duty kennel cover.
It was delivered promptly last fall. Assembly was straightforward. The steel trusses are heavy duty. You could swing from them! The pitch is sufficient much of the snow slides off and the roof is strong enough to withstand a lot of weight. Over this winter this roof has performed admirably . We had mixed snow and freezing rain the other day and with quite a heavy load it showed no sign of weakness. Snow and ice slid off the roof with minimal encouragement.
Overall a great product and I wish I had known about this before I wasted money on the flimsy sunshade from the store. Anyone living in a snow area definitely could use this kennel cover!
